This page explains how batuferringhi.my (“we”) uses cookies and analytics. We keep it simple and we don’t sell your data.
Cookies we use
We use a small number of cookies for two purposes: to remember your cookie choice, and — only if you accept — to measure site traffic so we can improve the guide. We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager for that measurement.
Consent — analytics is off until you accept
We implement Google Consent Mode. When you arrive, analytics storage is set to denied by default, so no analytics cookies are written. If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we switch analytics storage to granted. If you click Decline (or ignore the banner), analytics cookies are not set. Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage.
What analytics collects (only with consent)
- Pages viewed, approximate location (country/region), device and browser type
- How you arrived (search, link, direct) and broad usage patterns
This is aggregate and used to understand traffic — for example, to show prospective partners how many people the guide reaches. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Managing your choice
To change your decision, clear this site’s data in your browser settings and reload — the banner will appear again. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser, or use Google’s opt-out add-on.
Forms
If you contact us, your message is sent to us via Formspree and by email so we can reply. We use it only to respond to your enquiry.
Your rights (PDPA)
Under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you may ask what personal data we hold about you and request correction or deletion. Email [email protected] and we’ll help.
